Innovations4Flooring (I4F) announced that it is receiving a second patent grant on its 3L TripleLock technology from the Canadian Intellectual Property Office (CIPO).
Unilin division technologies filed a patent infringement action against multiple companies and individuals in Florida alleging infringement of U.S. patent number 6,786,019, relating to Unilin’s bevel or “v-groove” technology, and U.S. patent number 7,249,445, relating to Unilin’s embossed-in-register technology.
Välinge has filed an action for patent infringement in the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware against Halstead New England Corp., part of the Halstead International Group (Halstead) and Home Depot Inc. (Home Depot) “for the wrongful importation, marketing and sales of LVT and WPC flooring products marketed under the names ALLURE ULTRA, ALLURE ISOCORE and TRAFFICMASTER.
Russian police recently raided Moscow, Saint Petersburg and Novosibirsk warehouses of Russian distributors, Profpostavka and Opt-trading, for importing and selling laminate flooring products, under well-known brands including Westerhof and Mario Loretto, which infringe Unilin’s Russian clic technology patents.
Unilin has obtained a Notice of Allowance from the U.S. Patent Office for U.S. 15/172,465 which generally protects glueless flooring products with a wood plastic composite (WPC) base layer having a thickness of two to 10 millimeters and a vinyl top layer.
Unilin was recently awarded a $1.17 million judgment in compensation for the patent infringement of Granada Kitchen & Floor, Granada Wood & Cabinets and NSL Trading Corps. past imports and sales of approximately 600,000 m2 of glueless laminate flooring products that infringed on Unilin patents.
