In week six of the FCEF installer program, the students switch gears to hardwood flooring installation led by Lenny Hall, a regional instructor for the NWFA.
At the halfway point in the FCEF installation program, the students are now learning to install carpet on stairs where they are challenged and pushed outside of their comfort zones.
The students participating in the FCEF 10-week installation program worked with sheet goods in week three. With the help of some donations from Congoleum, they installed their first sheet vinyl floor.
During week 2 of the FCEF Basic Installation Flooring Program, the students step out of the classroom and into the training space where they get hands-on experience learning to install laminate.

During week three of the 10-week Basic Flooring Installation Program, Joe Cea, technical specialist, Congoleum, worked with the students, giving them tips and tricks on installing resilient flooring donated by Congoleum.
