This week the students began learning carpet installation which runs through next week as well. CFI Master Installer Dave Garden gives us the inside scoop on what the students are learning and how well they are doing. They started with learning to install tack strip and moved on to padding, but ultimately, they are learning the hows and whys to each step of the carpet installation process in a controlled environment.
In January 2022, the first round of students completed the Floor Covering Education Foundation’s (FCEF) Basic Floor Covering Installation program at Georgia Northwestern Technical College (GNTC) in Dalton, Georgia. See more highlights from the course!
