At TISE 2023, installation veterans P.J. Arthur, founder, Natural Fiber Installer Certification; Dave Garden, director of education, Certified Flooring Installers; Jon Namba of Namba Services; and Sonny Callaham, chairman of the board, National Association of Floor Covering Technicians, discussed the changes taking place with flooring installation education and training. 

The five-week program, which is a modified version of the Certified Flooring Installer Program, will launch in June and will cover hard and soft surface installation.  

The winners of The International Surface Event (TISE) National Installer of the Year Competition were announced on Thursday, February 2 on the Surfaces Stage. Eight competitors spent two days working on complex work orders in the carpet and wood categories.
