LL Flooring, one of the nation’s largest specialty retailers of hard-surface flooring, and the National Flooring Contractors Apprenticeship Program (NFCAP) are marking a milestone with the opening of the initiative’s first training facility in partnership with the Gary Job Corps Center in San Marcos, Texas.
LL Flooring, formerly Lumber Liquidators, launched Duravana hybrid resilient flooring—an entirely new category of flooring. Duravana is PVC-free and made with wood from responsibly managed forests as certified by the Forest Stewardship Council.
Currently the NFCAP has apprenticeships underway in California; additionally, the program is fully approved in Texas, and it’s on track for approval in Florida, Illinois,
and Nevada.
LL Flooring has partnered with the NFCAP to offer our pro partners trade labor with government support to offset the cost of training, plus the opportunity to mentor the next generation of flooring installers.
