Noraplan lona, from nora systems received the Most Sustainable Product award at this year’s Healthcare Facilities Symposium and Expo, held Sept. 18-20 in Austin. A five-member panel of design professionals honored the new rubber flooring with the award, one of three awards that recognize the best and most innovative new products within the healthcare design and construction industry. Tom Hume, national market segment manager, accepted the award during a special awards luncheon.

Introduced earlier this year, noraplan lona offers a silk-matte finish that features splashes and droplets in a range of colors and accents. Utilizing newly developed technology that allows for a wide range of patterns and designs, this new product is a versatile floor covering that sets the mood for an environment.

“Our ongoing commitment to sustainability makes me especially proud to receive this award,” said Tim Cole, vice president of marketing at nora systems, North America. “In addition to its innovative design, noraplan lona contributes to sustainability with functional features that include durability, longevity, simple maintenance, and favorable life-cycle costs.”
