The Carpet and Rug Institute’s (CRI) Green Label Plus-certified (GLP) products will now be included on the Origin platform developed by Global Innovations Green Algorithms (GIGA).

“Green Label Plus is the gold standard for indoor air quality testing,” said Joe Yarbrough, CRI president. “This partnership furthers the GLP brand by giving greater access to architects, designers, specifiers, and professional builders.”

CRI is committed to providing the greatest value to consumers and are continuously promoting members’ sustainability achievements. By adding Green Label Plus certifications to the Origin platform, GLP-certified products will attain greater visibility with consumers in the building Industry. The GLP-Origin collaboration will also benefit manufacturers with GLP certification by having a wider professional audience and effectively communicating product transparency.

Green Label Plus is a voluntary, industry testing program for carpet, adhesive, and cushion products that establishes the highest standard for indoor air quality ever set by the carpet industry. The Carpet and Rug Institute created the GLP program to identify carpets, adhesives, and cushions that meet stringent criteria for low volatile organic compound (VOC) emissions.
