Mohawk Group and Durkan are committed to the fight against breast cancer and as a long-term partner of Susan G. Komen, they are helping to make a difference through their corporate donation program, Specify for a Cure. When eligible products are specified within the program, Mohawk will make a donation to Susan G. Komen.
Since 2001, Mohawk has contributed more than $5.5 million to Komen on behalf of customers and employees. When customers specify at least 500 square yards from any of the eligible Mohawk Group carpet collections or any Durkan precision dye injected (PDI) carpets, Mohawk Group will donate $.25 per square yard of carpet sold. When at least 1,000 square feet of an eligible hard surface collection is specified, Mohawk Group will donate $.10 per square foot of hard surface flooring sold.
Specify for a Cure began in 2001 with a commitment to the community of architects and designers, many of whom have been touched by breast cancer, either directly or indirectly. The program has had an overwhelming response from customers and employees, and support has continued to grow, with the goal is to help spread awareness about breast cancer and the importance of early detection.
