St. Louis -- Cole Boyer, a high school senior from Tomball High School in Tomball, Texas, has been named the recipient of the 2018 NWFA NERF Wood Studies Scholarship. This nonrenewable scholarship in the amount of $1,000 is awarded to a current high school senior who will study
forestry, or forestry related sciences, in an effort to advance and improve forestry practices.
“I’ve had a passion for the outdoors for as long as I can remember," said Boyer. "As I got older, I became very interested in forestry as a career. After an internship in the industry, I knew forestry was the career path that I wanted to pursue."
