San Rafael, Calif. -- – Bridgeway Interactive supported Heritage Carpet & Tile’s Flooring and Design Symposium in South Beach, Fla. Heritage brought together 70 attendees representing the design and purchasing teams from many of their top builders for a two-day event at the beautiful SLS Hotel in South Beach Miami.

“Heritage has always pushed the design side of the business to the forefront," said Randy Smith, president of Heritage Carpet & Tile. "Although we are fundamentally a construction company, the home buyers spend more time on interior design once the contract is signed than any other aspect of their home customization. We focus on ensuring we meet them with well-prepared staff who are educated on current products, fads and trends and are able to identify and communicate the difference to the home buyers. Our speakers focused on that educational component, and we appreciated our customers taking the time to soak it in with a bit of fun along the way.”

Jay Flynn, vice president of Bridgeway Interactive, served as the emcee of the symposium along with introducing the group to the new Design Assistant Program they are jointly offering to the builders that Heritage supports. This program is an online tool to prepare, engage and educate the homebuyers prior to their appointment and includes the proprietary Design Now visualization technology that enables the homebuyers to see their products in their new home prior to finalizing selections.

The focus of the event was providing information and resources for their builders to use in improving the homebuyer experience and looking forward at design and style trends. Additional speakers from Shaw Floors, Mohawk, and Emser Tile presented on different flooring categories. In addition, the keynote speaker Joe Calamusa entertained and educated the group with his presentation on “7 Lessons in Modern Selling.”
