LM Flooring, known for its design forward and high-quality hardwood floors, is aggressively rebuilding its portfolio and introducing new and innovative products. The new LM Flooring collections are designed to bring value to channel partners under the leadership of AHF Products, which announced the acquisition of LM Flooring last spring.

“Our passion for quality and design is reflected in our more than 150 styles of wood flooring, all carefully crafted by skilled artisans. With advanced technologies, we achieve the highest precision in wood milling and fine Italian finishing,” said Kevin Whaley, vice president of sales and product, LM Flooring.

New this year are Grand Mesa and Big Sky. The designs are created by Product Development Manager & Principal Designer, Patrick Pusateri, whose vision and creativity has been behind LM’s outstanding portfolio.

Grand Mesa features wide-width long planks in North American Hickory and Hard Maple. Said Pusateri, “We chose sliced face American hickory and sliced face North American hard maple, with a color palette that is very much on trend and forward facing utilizing naturals, lights, taupe and earthtones.”  Wide widths with long lengths frame each plank of these beautiful species, showcasing the unique grain patterns and the distinctive variable brushed texture.

LM’s new Big Sky collection captures the natural beauty of the European White Oak Species, with subtle stains and tints inspired by nature. Its color inspiration comes from vast natural landscapes of shoreline, deserts and mountains. The planks are 9/16” thick x 9” ultra-wide planks, in lengths up to 86” with a dry sawn European white oak veneer. Pusateri created an all new variable brushed visual, with a distinctive texture, drawn from stone formations, weathered fences and wild animals.

“Our process works with the age of the grain in each individual plank. Older growth grain stays tight and mostly smooth, while younger growth accepts more pronounced brushing and texture.  Having variable texture within the same plank highlights the natural beauty and characteristics of the white oak species,” said Pusateri.

Grand Mesa and Big Sky will join the current popular collection, Nature’s Reserve, which offers the flooring retailer a differentiated product to sell—and a great story to tell to consumers. The White Oak surface is preserved (not stained) to give the wood an aged patina, allowing natural color variation and character to come through each plank. It brings all of the clear vibrant colors of nature into the home, with contemporary weathered colors that bring sophistication and elegance to a new level. These floors are crafted for years of use and age handsomely over time.
