The Floor Covering Industry Foundation (FCIF) is standing in the gap by assisting flooring covering workers and their families across the country.

The non-profit organization’s Executive Director Andrea Blackbourn shared, “Unfortunately, many families who were normally able to cover their medical bills are now having financial struggles due to COVID-19’s impact to the housing marketing and flooring industry. Year over year, FCIF ended the first quarter of 2020 by awarding 34% more funds to families battling catastrophic illnesses, injuries, and disabilities.”

Criteria for a grant from FCIF are: 1) Severe medical condition, 2) Household family member with five or more years of service to the flooring industry, and 3) Financial stress. Grants are paid directly to the family in need.
