Shaw Contract launched a new rug program that will make it easy for designers to identify, specify and buy custom rugs. 

“We’ve been looking at this for a while,” said John Stephens, vice president of marketing, Shaw Contract Group. “We do a lot of rugs today, mostly in the custom hospitality sector. As we start to see a shift in materials and the way people are thinking about design, we are starting to see more layering using hardwood, concrete, or hard surfaces and layering rugs—soft surface and textures and patterns—in multiple sectors.” 

Ressie Duncan, vice president, global design, Shaw Contract, says the company spoke with its clients in the market in various regions and sectors, along with design collaborators to see what was resonating. The result was a versatile collection that would allow designers to select and order rugs seamlessly, easier and faster.
