Commercial USA member Melisa Martin of C2 Flooring has excelled in commercial installations for 20 years. The Dallas-based firm specializes in public projects, namely schools and airports, and has been engaging in safe business practices since the pandemic started.

These safe business practices include having one project manager working in the office while the remaining staff work from home, requiring all installers to wear masks at all times during installations, and offering a constant supply of hand sanitizer and disinfectant for the team and anyone in the public who needs it.

Martin is an active member of Commercial USA and is very involved in the group's conventions. At the last convention, she participated on a panel discussing the labor shortage across the United States. Martin said she loves the relationships and the comradery that exists among members and that partnering with members is a great option to advance diversity.

Supporting this, Martin is a member of The North Central Texas Regional Certification Agency, which includes woman-owned business enterprises, small business enterprises and disadvantaged business enterprises. She is also an active member of the Women's Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC), which is the largest certifier of women-owned businesses in the United States.
