End Grain collection by Havwoods Flooring gets its name as it’s made from the grain of wood seen when it is cut across the growth rings. Rather than cutting a plank of wood the length of the trunk, end grain wood is cut at a 90-degree angle to the grain. This type of cut exposes the character of the wood rings and graining.
As with a chopping block, the surface of an end-grain tile is incredibly tough and durable. Havwoods' End Grain collection boards are all glued to a backing, to ensure a stable engineered floor.
