Teknoflor, a supplier of commercial flooring, has received an environmentally preferred contract from Vizient, Inc., a member-driven health care performance improvement company. The contract is for Teknoflor CS Sheet and Tile, LT Plank, Naturescapes, and Nature’s Tile and Plank.
Vizient works with its suppliers and hospital members to reduce human and environmental harm in facilities and supplies while maintaining quality and affordability. As part of the Vizient EP sourcing designated program, participating suppliers must provide a list of products that meet pre-defined environmentally preferred standards and specific third-party certifications to indicate independent auditing of environmental standards.
Teknoflor CS Sheet and Tile, LT Plank, Naturescapes, and Nature’s Tile and Plank meet the pre-defined environmentally preferred standards. The CS Collection is developed with ENOMER, a unique synthesized blend of high performance, clean polymers that is free from PVC, plasticizers, phthalates, halogens, chlorine and heavy metal. Naturescapes and Nature’s Tile and Plank are made withecuran, an organically-derived polyurethane composite material processed from plant-based oils such as castor oil and naturally occurring minerals such as chalk.
