Gesco Industries, a group of Canadian floor covering organizations, has named Aneil Hussein president of the Shnier/Division 9, effective December 11, 2023.

Shnier, founded 85 years ago, is a Canadian-based national floorcovering distribution company. It designs, sources, merchandise, markets, sells, and distributes an extensive number of leading licensed and proprietary private label brands, globally sourced and sold to thousands of customers within multiple channels of distribution. Gesco's numerous logistical facilities are strategically located coast to coast within Canada.

After completing his bachelor’s degree from Carleton University in 1997, Aneil pursued an MBA degree from the Schulich School of Business. Aneil began his career taking on increasing roles of responsibility in sales, sales management, and business development. He gained extensive flooring experience from companies including Daltile, Anatolia, Armstrong Flooring, and most recently as the regional vice president for Shaw Industries.
