The International Surface Event (TISE) named the winners of the first 2025 regional installation competition, which was held on August 10 at T&A Supply Co. in Seattle, Washington. Justin Lopez took the award for the luxury vinyl plank category and Jose Michel won the carpet category. 

The National Installer of the Year Competition spotlights the best flooring installers as they compete for the coveted award. The finalist in each of the installation categories from each competition city will be flown to Las Vegas in January for the TISE 2025 final competition to compete for the National Installer of the Year titles.

Competition sponsors include Mohawk, Performance Accessories, QEP Roberts and Schonox. 

"Having these competitions is fun and puts you at your highest level," said Justin Lopez, LVP category winner. "I like the challenge, meeting new guys, meeting people who are just as interested as I am." 

The next regional competition stops are All Surfaces in Chicago, Illinois; CFI Training Facility in Dalton, Georgia; and Big D Supply in Phoenix, Arizona.
