Empire Today, a shop-at-home direct-to-consumer flooring company based in Chicago, Illinois, named Kristin Prudhomme president of Empire Today for Business, the company’s business-to-business arm.

Empire Today for Business collaborates on flooring-replacement projects in multifamily, office, retail, educational, medical and places of worship. 

Prudhomme recently served as CEO of Washington, D.C.-based commercial contractor Forrester Construction. While there, she spearheaded a company-wide restructuring and transformation of people and processes. 

Prior to her tenure at Forrester, Prudhomme held various roles over 16 years at Schindler Elevator Corporation. Her last role at Schindler Electric was senior VP of sales, products and large project operations, where she was responsible for approximately $1 billion in sales volume, driving market growth and enhancing customer loyalty across 70 U.S. branch offices. 

Her career began at Otis Elevator Company and Shaw Industries. Prudhomme holds a B.S. in international business and French from Elizabethtown College and an M.B.A. from Drexel University.
