Shaw Industries has added another accolade to its sustainability achievements with its EcoWorx Resilient flooring earning a bronze Edison Award in the circular design category at the 2025 Edison Awards.
The prestigious recognition, now in its 38th year, celebrates Shaw's innovative approach to creating sustainable flooring solutions that maintain high performance standards while addressing environmental concerns.
EcoWorx Resilient was designed circularly, offering commercial customers a fully recyclable, PVC-free alternative to traditional luxury vinyl tile (LVT) products. What sets this product apart is its ability to deliver sustainability benefits without sacrificing durability or aesthetics—and at a competitive price point.
The flooring features Shaw's ExoGuard+ performance technology, which provides exceptional resistance to scratches, stains, scuffs, and heavy loads. This makes it suitable for demanding commercial environments, EcoWorx Resilient features a low embodied carbon footprint of 5.21 kg CO2e/m².
Available through Shaw's commercial brands Patcraft and Shaw Contract, the product is backed by Shaw's Environmental Guarantee. Under this program, Shaw will pick up the product at no charge to customers at the end of its useful life through the re[TURN]® Reclamation Program, ensuring it gets recycled into the next generation of EcoWorx® flooring.
This innovation builds upon Shaw's 25-year legacy of Cradle to Cradle innovation, following the 1999 launch of EcoWorx carpet, the world's first PVC-free, fully recyclable carpet tile. The product has received multiple third-party certifications, including Greenhealth Approved, Greenguard Gold, and Blue Angel, with additional certifications pending.
