Two exceptional high school seniors whose parents work at Mannington Mills have been awarded college scholarships through the National Merit Scholarship Corporation.

Brock Ferguson, son of Finishing Manager Brian Ferguson from the company's Calhoun, Georgia, facility, and Sophia Wolff, daughter of Sales, Inventory, and Operations Manager Jason Wolff from the Salem, New Jersey, site, are this year's recipients of the corporate-sponsored scholarships.

Ferguson, who will graduate from Darlington School in Rome, Georgia, consistently ranked in the top 10% of his class while competing as a cross-country runner. His school director praised his willingness to "push his limits." He plans to attend Augusta University this fall.

Wolff, graduating from Ursuline Academy in Wilmington, Delaware, ranked at the top of her class and participated in the school's prestigious AP Capstone Diploma program. With interests spanning both STEAM education and the arts, she has been accepted to Georgia Institute of Technology where she will pursue architecture.

"Our company believes in supporting the pursuit of higher education because we know that today's students are tomorrow's business leaders," said Zack Zehner, Mannington Mills chairman of the board. "Sophia and Brock have bright futures and we wish them all the best in college and beyond."

Since beginning its partnership with the National Merit Scholarship Corporation in 2014, Mannington Mills has awarded 22 scholarships, with four recipients achieving National Merit Scholarship Finalist status. Past scholarship winners have pursued diverse fields of study, including physics, natural resource management, physical therapy, and international relations.
