Schönox Takes Customers Full Speed at Porsche Track Experience

Schönox, a subfloor solutions provider, recently demonstrated this commitment by hosting more than 30 customers at an exclusive Porsche Track Experience event, drawing parallels between high-performance driving and the company's Need for Speed solutions.
The three-day event began at Schönox's Florence Support Center. Marlène Morin, Sika's senior director of floor covering/interior finishing, welcomed attendees alongside Thomas Trissl of TMT America/Trissl Sports Cars. The opening day focused on building connections between customers and showcasing Schönox's rapid-installation subfloor technologies designed to meet the demanding schedules of modern construction projects.
"Tight project schedules in our industry are around every turn," the company noted, emphasizing how their "Need for Speed" solutions address the complexities of renovation and construction timelines.
Event partner Trissl Sports Cars provided a spectacular venue for guests to explore an impressive collection of more than 70 Porsches spanning five decades. Attendees tested their skills on racing simulators before heading to the main event: a two-day high-performance driving course at Barber Motorsports Park in Birmingham, Alabama.
The track experience, tailored for various skill levels, allowed participants to drive Porsche sports cars under the guidance of world-class instructors. The program balanced classroom instruction with extensive track time, culminating in exhilarating hot lap rides with professional drivers.
"We had an absolutely fantastic time with both the Schönox-Sika and Porsche track staff," said David Perez, CFO of Imperial Flooring Solutions. "After spending such a wonderful time with everyone, we truly felt like we were among close friends and family."
Jim Hadjantoni, Field Operations Manager at Refloor, described the experience as unforgettable: "From the moment I exited the airplane, I was enveloped in unparalleled excitement. The buzz in the air was palpable. I still vividly recall the adrenaline coursing through my veins as I navigated the track."
The event highlighted striking similarities between Schönox and Porsche, including extensive research and development, innovative technology and engineering, and a shared emphasis on speed and performance. These parallels weren't lost on participants, who appreciated the connection between precision driving and precision flooring solutions.
Ken Clifford of DFS Flooring praised the comprehensive experience: "What a great event, thank you for taking such good care of us. I really enjoyed getting to know some of the other flooring contractors attending and spending time with them. All aspects of the week were impressive and very entertaining."
