Convention-goers at the Summer 2002 Carpet One convention in Kissimmee, Fla., previewed samples of Liz Claiborne flooring slated to be released and sold exclusively by Carpet One in January 2003.
The Liz Claiborne collection will feature carpet, hardwood, vinyl, ceramic, and laminate lines in 54 color choices comprising five color palettes: Confidence, Serenity, Cosmopolitan, Relaxed, and Elegance. At convention time, only hardwood, ceramic and carpet samples were available for preview.
Armstrong will release the Liz Claiborne ceramic line in partnership with Carpet One. The line encompasses 18 collections with coordinating wall and floor trim pieces, listellos and multiple formats as large as 20-by-20 inches.
According to Carpet One's co-chairman and co-CEO Alan Greenberg, Carpet One will hold exclusive rights to Liz Claiborne flooring for 12 years.
Also at the convention, Carpet One detailed plans to increase their SelectAFloor selling system to include hardwoods. The SelectAFloor displays will feature 168 SKUs sorted according to color, and showcase various style, installation and warranty options.
