The Chicago Floorcovering Association (CFA) recently hosted a Golden Tribute dinner to honor members who have served 50 years or more in the flooring business. In all, 31 members were honored. All proceeds from this charitable event were donated to the Floor Covering Industry Foundation.
The foundation provides financial assistance to industry affiliates who have experienced catastrophic illness, severe disability or other hardships.
The CFA event produced more than $12,000 for the foundation. Bob Weiss, president of Elk Grove Village, Ill.-based All Tile Inc, matched the contribution in honor of Don Rado, retired former president of All Tile.
