WFCA inducts Hall of Famers

Alan Greenberg, co-CEO of CCA Global Partners, and Louis A. Spano Sr., the recently deceased founder of Broomhall, Pa.-based Eldorado Carpet One, have been voted into the World Floor Covering Association (WFCA) Industry Hall of Fame.

The two members will be formally inducted into the Hall of Fame during a Jan. 31 ceremony at Surfaces 2002 in Las Vegas. Spano's award will be presented posthumously.

Greenberg, who with Howard Brodsky founded Carpet Co-op of America (now CCA Global Partners) in 1985, was instrumental in launching the company's ProSource, Stone Mountain, International Design Guild, America's Carpet Gallery, and Rug Decor subsidiary units.

Spano, who in 1955 established Eldorado Carpet One, served as Retail Floorcovering Institute chairman in 1987-88. Spano also served as president of the Greater Philadelphia Floor Covering Association for longer than anyone else. Spano was an active member of the WFCA Past President's Council and served on numerous WFCA committees.
