ELLIJAY, Ga. -- Blue Ridge Commercial Carpet’s Heirloom product collection has been named a winner of the Museum of Architecture and Design’s Good Design Award for 2000.

“This award truly belongs to our people,” said Mike Gallman, president and CEO of Blue Ridge Commercial Carpet. “It is their tremendous effort and attention to detail that has helped us achieve success in the design arena.”

In sponsoring the awards program, the museum considered hundreds of submissions from 28 countries. The jury selected only a handful of products as recipients of the Good Design Award for product distinction.

The awards program was founded in Chicago in 1950 by Edgar J. Kaufmann Jr. with the participation of some of America’s most important designers. All awards and winners appear on the museum’s website at www.chi-athenaeum.org.
