The Azrock VCT installation at the U.N. International School.

When administrators of the United Nations International School in New York City decided to remove the marble floor in the foyer outside the school's theater, they turned to Domco's Azrock Commercial Flooring to capture a unique new look in a material capable of withstanding heavy student foot traffic for years to come.

The Azrock VCT they chose was fabricated through use of waterjet cutting technology to incorporate the school logo, which is a variation on the United Nations logo that features the name woven through a globe icon.

"We wanted the floor to reflect the artistic nature of the adjoining theater," said designer Ronald Katen. "Azrock was able to provide us with flooring options that were more playful and free-form than standard geometric tiles."
