With an eye toward taking "more of a leadership role in installation training and industry certification," The World Floor Covering Association (WFCA) said it has made a number of staff moves.
Dan Higgins has been named director of development and will be responsible for membership sales development, including planning, budget implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the association's sales programs and activities. Previously he worked as a senior sales executive in the hotel industry.
Terry Hearne, director of operations, will have his duties expanded to include oversight of certification, installation trade education, and trade and academic scholarships while also retaining his former duties. Jon Namba, director of technical services, will work with Hearne to expand the teaching of the RITE installation curriculum in secondary and vocational schools throughout the country. Dr. Harry Perdew, former WFCA director of education, left the association to pursue other interests.
