Homanit Inc. and Unilin Flooring N.V. have signed an agreement by which Unilin Flooring will acquire Homanit's MDF plant in Mount Gilead, N.C.

Parties are now awaiting a clearance from the anti-trust authorities to finalise the transaction. The amount of the transaction was not revealed.

The acquisition of the Mt. Gilead MDF plant will make Unilin Flooring the first fully integrated producer of laminate flooring in the United States, according to the company.

Unilin Flooring has also announced important and accelerated investments in its North American laminate flooring division.
