Vincent Ferrante Jr., who worked as a carpet installer for his father's Travis, N.Y.-based Ideal Flooring Contractors business, died on the Staten Island ferry that crashed into a concrete pier Oct. 15.
Ferrante was born June 27, 1977 at Victory Memorial Hospital in Dyker Heights, Brooklyn, and grew up in Canarsie, Brooklyn. After graduation from Curtis High School in 1995, he started working for his father's business.
In addition to his parents, Ferrante is survived by a brother Damien, sisters Nicole and Geri, and grandparents Beverly Motrechuk and Mary Ferrante.
