John F. Morgan, a respected and admired figure in the flooring industry for more than 30 years, died unexpectedly August 15. He was 68 years old.

Morgan spent his entire career in the flooring industry with the No-Muv Corp. and was among the first to be hired by the Jacksonville, Fla.-based company when it was launched in the late 1970s. The company’s founder and president Charles Mussallem III fondly recalled the loyalty and dedication exhibited by Morgan, who served as national sales manager for the company at the time of his death. “John was not only a dear friend, he was a consummate professional in our industry.” Mussallem said. “His absence will be a void that will never be replaced. He will always be remembered in our organization.” He noted that Morgan helped the company establish a unique distribution system for the company’s line of area rug padding products.

He is survived by his wife Pat and three sons, Kenneth, Jack and Mike.  Recalling his strong affection for dogs, the family has asked that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Jacksonville (Fla.) Humane Society in John Morgan’s memory.
