New York City-based Consolidated Carpet, a commercial flooring contracting firm, won first place in the Large Corporate category in the 2010 Starnet Design Award competition. The award was given for the Coty Beauty Lancaster Group project located within the Empire State Building. Consolidated Carpet was honored along with Ted Moudis Associates, an architecture and interior design firm with offices in New York, Chicago and London.

“Consolidated Carpet is honored with this recognition,” said David Meberg, president and ceo of Consolidated Carpet of N.Y. “The Coty Beauty Project is a great example of modern corporate design and it was a gratifying installation project for our team because it is located in such an iconic and historical building, the Empire State Building. Our design partners, Ted Moudis Associates, gave us a great plan and created a beautiful space.”

“Year after year, the Starnet Design Awards represent the very best in commercial flooring design and installation,” noted Jeanne Matson, president and ceo of Starnet Worldwide Commercial Flooring Partnership. “I remain amazed at the technical expertise of our members and creative vision of their designers for achieving such incredible installation results. This level of work is truly a testament to the caliber of craftsmanship available within the ranks of our own membership. If your designer or architect can envision it, a Starnet member using the industry’s best materials can make it a reality.”
