FN Neuhofer Holz adds planing line
Austria-based FN Neuhofer Holz has installed a new planing line from the Weinig Co., called the Powermat 1000. This investment marks the company's renewed focus on the production of solid wood profiles, according to the company.
The new planing line produces 72,000 running meters (more than 236,000 ft.) of profiles a day in a three-shift operation, and an annual capacity of 15.84 million running meters (close to 52 million ft.) of profiles. The unit allows for high-speed machining of solid wood as well as wood substitutes like MDF, the company said.
FN's total production capacity is 110 million profiles per year. More information on the company's solid wood profile program is available here.
