Don Finkell displays the Gifford Pinchot Award won by Anderson.


Anderson Hardwood Floors has earned the Gifford Pinchot Award for significant corporate achievements to promoting and practicing sustainable forestry. The award, given by the Hardwood Forestry Fund, is named after Gifford Pinchot, who was selected by Theodore Roosevelt to establish the U.S. Forest Service.

“Anderson is honored to receive the prestigious Gifford Pinchot Award for our education, leadership and commitment to sustainable forestry,” said Don Finkell, Anderson’s ceo and president.

Finkell teaches industry education on the Lacey Act and sustainable forestry. Additionally, Anderson’s products have been GREENGUARD Children & Schools certified and have received Cradle to Cradle Silver Certification from McDonough Braungart Design Chemistry (MBDC).
