The U.S. Green Building Council has opened its Building Performance Partnership (BPP) program to all current LEED-certified commercial and residential buildings. The voluntary program measures energy, water, human health and natural resources metrics to understand how the buildings perform.

The partnership among USGBC and the thousands of LEED project owners will result in a comprehensive green building performance database and enable standardization of reporting metrics and analytics to establish new performance benchmarks, according to Scot Horst, LEED sr. vp.

Participation is voluntary. Participants will receive annual information on performance. For more information, visit www.usgbc.org/bpp.
