Winners of the Daltile Interior Design Scholarship, presented by the ASID Foundation, will be chosen based on a design competition in which they must create an original room design inspired by an artistic movement or a specific work of art. The designs must also creatively use Daltile products in the room.

The grand-prize winner of the competition will receive a $10,000 scholarship, and their design will be displayed in the Daltile exhibit at Surfaces 2012. In addition, the student will be Daltile’s guest at Surfaces 2012, January 24-26 in Las Vegas. First, second and third-prize winners will each receive a $5,000 scholarship, and ten merit winners will each receive $2,500 in scholarships.

Professional designers, contractors and architects can also contribute to the Daltile Interior Design Scholarship fund. They can support aspiring interior design professionals, simply by using Daltile products. Daltile will contribute a percentage from the sale of its top-selling products for qualifying projects to the scholarship fund.

To qualify, projects must be a minimum of 1,000 sq. ft. and must be registered by the designer, architect or contractor associated with the project. All entries are due by Nov. 1, 2011. Judging will be completed by Dec. 1, 2011. Winners will be announced at Surfaces 2012.
