Paul Heinen has been promoted to MMPI svp. In his new role, Heinen will be responsible for all office and retail activities at MMPI properties in Chicago, Los Angeles, Washington, D.C., and Boston. He will also oversee MMPI’s contract furnishings business, which includes 113 permanent showrooms in over 550,000 sq. ft. of space, as well the production of NeoCon World’s Trade Fair in Chicago, and NeoCon East in Baltimore.

He succeeds Mark Falanga, who was recently named president of MMPI.

Heinen is a seasoned, 26-year veteran of the real estate industry. Prior to joining MMPI in 2009 as vp office leasing, Heinen was with The John Buck Co., where he was principal and head of asset management for 13 years.

“Since joining MMPI, Paul has led our office leasing efforts, and has leased a tremendous amount of space at a number of our properties to some of the world’s most renowned companies,” Falanga said. “The deals that Paul has affected for MMPI in Chicago, Los Angeles, Washington, D.C., and Boston, and while with The John Buck Company, have fueled tens to hundreds of millions of dollars of purchases of our showrooms' and exhibitors' products. Paul has a strong knowledge of the contract furnishings industry and brings a new vision and perspective to the business. He is the perfect choice to continue to guide the leasing efforts for our contract showrooms, as well as the marketing efforts for the most highly regarded trade shows in the contract furnishings industry.”

Heinen received his undergraduate degree from Stanford University and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
