Russ Snow, building envelope technical specialist for  W. R. Meadows, has been designated the first Construction Specifications Practitioner (CSP) in the industry, according to W. R. Meadows.

Russ Snow, building envelope technical specialist for  W. R. Meadows, has been designated the first Construction Specifications Practitioner (CSP) in the industry, according to W. R. Meadows. The CSP designation has been in development within Construction Specifications Canada (CSC) for a few years.

The objectives of a CSP are to set standards and a high quality of practice for specification writers through prescribed qualifications, courses and a demonstrated level of competence and ethical practices. Additionally, the CSP has to provide a program for continuing improvement of specification writer skills and professional development, and establish a body of knowledge and standard of conduct for specification writers.

Snow has worked for W. R. Meadows for more than 14 years.
