The Mohawk Group has tapped Mike Gallman, former CEO of Blue Ridge Industries, to serve as the company’s Vice President of Product Management. Gallman has more than 35 years of industry experience in various high-profile operational, sales and marketing roles. In his leadership position, Gallman will be responsible for creating and sustaining products within the Mohawk Group brands that meet the evolving demands of the commercial arena.

“Mike has a profound knowledge and understanding of the A&D community, and the Mohawk Group will most assuredly benefit from his many talents and industry relationships,” said Tom Lape, President of Residential and Commercial for Mohawk. “One of Mohawk’s core strengths is the depth and breadth of our product offering. Mike’s leadership will further ensure that our commercial product development team successfully anticipates the needs of our customers and end users moving forward as the marketplace grows and changes.”

Gallman spent 13 years as CEO of Blue Ridge Industries. During his tenure, Gallman successfully achieved growth through rebranding, remerchandising and implementing new operational systems. Prior to Blue Ridge, Gallman held various roles of increasing responsibility at Shaw Industries, including serving as Vice President of Marketing and Product Development for the company’s commercial division.

Gallman is a graduate of the University of Georgia, and served on the Carpet and Rug Institute’s Board of Directors from 2002-2011.
