To support its growing Luxury Vinyl Tile (LVT) flooring business in the commercial sector and streamline its product offering, Metroflor Corp. announced two staff appointments.

Jimmy Alexanderjoins Metroflor as Southeast District Sales Manager, responsible for three of the company’s distributors: William M. Bird & Co., Mastercraft, and Building Plastics Incorporated (BPI). He will represent Konecto, Hybrid, Metroflor, Starloc and Engage brands, as carried by each respective distributor. His territory will include Florida (Mastercraft); Texas, Arkansas, Tennessee, Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama (BPI); and Maryland, Virginia, Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina & South Carolina (William M. Bird & Co.).

Alexander comes to Metroflor following six years with Mohawk Industries, where he specialized in securing product specifications for the commercial and multi-family market segments. Said Russell Rogg, Metroflor’s CEO and President, “Jimmy’s experience will dovetail perfectly with our business as we focus on improving our penetration in the commercial and multi-family categories. We are thrilled to have Jimmy join our organization.” Alexander will use Metroflor’s Calhoun, Ga. facility as his home base.

Brandi Longwas named Technical Adhesives Specialist to support Metroflor’s unification of its flooring adhesives and accessories under one umbrella brand: Prevail. Also based in Calhoun, Ga., Long brings to the team an outstanding technical background in adhesives and underlayments. Highly credentialed in her field -- including Technical Services Management, ASTM Testing and Quality Control -- she has worked for other noteworthy industry manufacturers. Most recently she served QEP Roberts as Technical Services/Claims Manager and QC Supervisor and before that, as the lead in Quality Assurance at XL Brands.
