Armstrong will initiate a 4 to 6% price increase in the United States and Canada on Residential LVT, Laminate, Residential Sheet and Tile and select Commercial Sheet products. In addition, a 2.5% increase on Commercial Vinyl Composition Tile, and a 3 to 10% percent increase on Installation, Maintenance and Accessories (IMA) products will be initiated, beginning with shipments on Jan. 23, 2012.
“As we anticipated in June, we are sustaining higher costs due to continued increases in raw material inflation beyond our previous expectation. We anticipate these higher costs to remain in place throughout 2012,” said Kevin M. Biedermann, svp, Armstrong Floor Products, North America – Residential.
“For all manufacturers, the cost of raw materials continues to rise at an extraordinary rate. Despite the challenge, Armstrong is well positioned to leverage our scale to ensure a profitable value proposition for our customers,” added Dominic C. Rice, vp and gm, Armstrong Floor Products, North America - Commercial.
