Franklin International has introduced a new solvent-based wood flooring adhesive. Titebond 991 PROvantage Wood Flooring Adhesive uses a proprietary advanced solvent technology that significantly reduces installation time, according to the company.

Aggressive green grab clutches flooring planks, keeping them from sliding once seated in the wet adhesive. The PROvantage formulation enables contractors to easily spread the adhesive – and then proceed immediately with installation, without wasting time to flash the adhesive, the company said.

Titebond 991 PROvantage also increases installation quality. It bridges normal gaps between the wood and subfloor, reducing hollow and popping spots. It also offers high moisture resistance to reduce the risk of subsequent moisture or water damage to wood flooring, according to Franklin International.

“We are extremely excited to expand what already was the broadest line of solvent-based, VOC-compliant adhesives to include one that provides our professional flooring customers all the advantages of PROvantage technology,” said Marc Sims, director of sales, flooring, at Franklin International.

Titebond 991 PROvantage Wood Flooring Adhesive is available through flooring distributors and retailers in 3.5-gallon containers. For more information, flooring contractors can visit www.titebond.com or call Franklin International Technical Service at (800) 347-4583.
