Desso welcomed a group of top architects from Mexico to a session of the Circles of Architects. It was the first time architects from Latin America participated in this co-creation initiative. They studied and discussed trends and new Desso innovations and prototypes that are at an early stage of the design process.

Since 2008 Desso has intensified its’ programs in which architects and designers from all over the world are invited to get to know the brand, Desso’s carpet solutions and to get an impression of the Desso design and production process. The most recent program was a four-day visit of Mexico’s top architects to the company’s headquarters in The Netherlands. The group was given a tour of Desso’s factories and showrooms in Dendermonde and Waalwijk, a demonstration of its creation process and of the DESSO Refinity process, in which used carpet tiles are disassembled for re-use. Highlight of the program was a session of the Circles of Architects, Desso’s co-creation initiative.

It is the first time architects from Latin America participated in the Circles of Architects. Alexander Collot d’Escury, Desso’s Chief Commercial Officer: “The Circles of Architects is an interactive platform and is initiated to share the creative background of new Desso collections and to discuss innovations and prototypes with selected groups of architects and designers. The sessions are an inspiration for all participants. For architects and designers in particular it is an opportunity to get inspired and interact with other professionals in their field of expertise from all over the world.” One of the interior architects present was Jose Lew, project leaderat the architecture firm ARCO Arquitectura Contemporanea: "The Desso Design Department is an inspiring place to understand new ideas".
