The National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) will hold its 59th Annual Meeting and Education Conference (AMEC), Sept. 3 to 6, in Indianapolis, Ind. at the J.W. Marriott Indianapolis Downtown.

The NAWIC AMEC is made possible in large part to the generous support of NAWIC’s sponsors. The Blue Ribbon AMEC sponsors this year are United Rentals and UPS.

“It’s a pleasure to work closely with companies that closely align with our core principles of diversity, integrity and workforce development," said Yasmine Branden, CCA, NAWIC president.

Other NAWIC AMEC sponsors include SimplexGrinnell at the Purple Ribbon level; Paxton Patterson and Infor AMSI at the Green Ribbon level; Acuity/M.J. Schuetz Insurance Services, Arsee Engineers, Henkel and LP Building Products at the Orange Ribbon level; and The Home Depot at the White Ribbon level.

According to Branden, NAWIC’s mission is to enhance the success of women in the construction industry. NAWIC AMEC is a tool in accomplishing that goal. The conference features 28 seminars and workshops targeted to women and the construction industry. Two keynote speakers, Stace Hanke, “Speak to be Heard,” and Jenne Britell, chairman of United Rentals will address AMEC attendees.
