Mullican Flooring, a leading manufacturer of quality hardwood floors, is providing flooring for an upcoming episode of this season’s “The Vanilla Ice Project,” a television series on the DIY channel.

The episode, "Mother Nature vs. Family Room," will air Saturday, April 4, at 10:30 p.m. EST. Mullican Flooring supplied 4,000 square feet of oak latte solid flooring from the company’s Castillian Collection for the residential renovation project.

Precision manufactured from the finest Appalachian oak, the Castillian Collection is a 3/4-inch product available in a 5-inch width. The collection is offered in rustic, wire-brushed and smooth options.

Together with Mullican’s patented Aqua Shield system, the Castillian Collection features a lifetime moisture warranty. The revolutionary Aqua Shield system includes the application of the Mullican Moisture Mat, the company’s own moisture-retardant underlayment, along with the installation of a Castillian product. When used together, this method allows the bottom of the wood to expand if exposed to moisture, with little to no effect on the floor’s surface.

“We are excited to see our solid Castillian Collection installed in this season’s ‘The Vanilla Ice Project,’” says Neil Poland, president of the Johnson City, Tennessee-based company. “The Castillian Collection offers a wider width and textured finishes that continue to be in high demand with our customers, and the oak latte selection also affords a more traditional appearance that has always been popular with consumers.”

Now in its fifth season, “The Vanilla Ice Project” features Robert Van Winkle, a '90s pop icon who used the stage name of Vanilla Ice. He is a successful real-estate entrepreneur and a remodeling expert, with more than 15 years of hands-on home improvement experience. Along with a crew of contractors, Van Winkle renovates and remodels mansions in the Palm Beach, Florida area, selecting one home each season. The episodes follow Van Winkle through the renovation process room-by-room.
