Armstrong Residential Flooring has announced its 2014 Elite Retailers of the Year.

“With more than 160 Elite showrooms nationwide, we wanted to recognize and thank the best of the best for their continuing excellence and commitment to the Armstrong Elite Program," said David McClatchy, national sales manager, retail strategic accounts. "These annual awards give us the opportunity to do just that, and we are grateful for our partnership with these outstanding retail locations.”

The 2014 Gold Retailer of the Year title was awarded to Floor Covering Associates (FCA). A family owned business started in 1976 as a carpet store with only two employees, owner Bob Hill has guided this business. With headquarters in Shorewood, Ill., FCA now employs a staff of more than 200 people, and offers a full range of floor covering and services.
“FCA is an exemplary member of the Armstrong Elite program,” said McClatchy. “Year after year they continue to focus on higher mix products while meeting the needs of their customers. Their showroom and website are top-notch and they are top-performers in our lead generation program.”
The 2014 Silver Retailer of the Year Award went to Flooring America of Fairfax. Established in 1979 by owner Rob Menefee, The Flooring America Stores headquartered in Fairfax, Va., have been serving the metro D.C. markets. Since becoming an Elite partner, not only have they utilized all the benefits of the Elite program above and beyond, they have been a strong advocate of the Elite program assisting in signing up recent dealers.
“The Flooring America Stores are consistently on the forefront of technology and have been a valuable partner in their area," said McClatchy. "They exceed every criterion for the Elite Retailer of the Year award." 
Baker Bros, headquartered in Phoenix, took home the 2014 Bronze level award. An Arizona family owned and operated flooring company since 1945, owner Phil Koufidakis has grown the company to seven retail locations in the Phoenix metro area. Baker Bros continues to grow sales with Armstrong while promoting higher mix products.
