Christian and Kimberly Rooney are the owners of Priority Floors. Priority Floors (previously known as Commercial Flooring) was started in 1986, exclusively doing multifamily flooring replacement in the metro-New Orleans area. The Rooneys purchased the business in 2006. Since then, the company was re-branded and has expanded its multifamily geographic reach to include New Orleans, Baton Rouge, Houma, Thibodaux, Biloxi, Gulfport, Mobile and surrounding areas.
In 2010, Priority Floors began pursuing large commercial projects. The company’s multifamily business continues to grow and has more than doubled while its commercial business now represents 40-50% of top line sales.
Christian holds a Bachelor of Science and Master of Business Administration from Louisiana State University. Kimberly also holds a Bachelor of Science from Louisiana State University. Prior to entering the flooring business, Christian was a commercial real estate broker in Houston specializing in tenant representation with CB Richard Ellis. Kimberly was a strategic account manager and business development manager for the national accounts division of Staples.
