Scott Group Studio has acquired PWV Studios, a boutique designer and builder of hand-tufted wool carpets and rugs based in Grand Rapids, Mich., and has released its first series, PWV Studios Signature Collection: Volume I.
Founded by Paul and Carol V’Soske more than 40 years ago, PWV Studios developed signature hand-tufting techniques designed to create interesting patterns and textures in the simplest way possible. Their methods reduce production time while enhancing a rug's textural elements, with intricate hand-carving of a rug's surface. With the acquisition of PWV, Scott Group will carry on the brand's legacy by continuing to produce the carpets in Grand Rapids, offering short lead times for a hand-crafted rugs while employing the same unparalleled craftsmanship.
