Mohawk Group recently announced that the commercial flooring manufacturer will be hosting a free one-day digital learning event as the newest expansion of its DesignFWD platform. DesignFWD Education will feature impactful, actionable conversations with industry professionals along with applicable solutions to equip and enhance learning environments. The event will take place through an interactive online platform Wednesday, Oct. 28, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. EST.

“In the wake of current events, Mohawk Group quickly responded with the launch of our new DesignFWD platform and we are thrilled to continue building on that momentum with our inaugural DesignFWD Education digital summit,” said David Dembowitz, Mohawk Group’s senior vice president of education and government. “Our first segmented virtual event will feature industry professionals that will share combined expertise and best practices to help the education community create spaces where students and staff can thrive in an evolving learning landscape across K-12, higher education and beyond.”

As part of the one-day virtual experience united under the theme “Creating Worry-Free Education Environments,” Mohawk Group will be focusing on three key areas: partnership, principle and product. The one-day summit will be anchored by two live panel discussions featuring education segment experts: “Maximizing Your Budget Through Unexpected Times” at 10 a.m. EST / 7 a.m. PST, and “A Progressive Look at School Design Moving Forward” at 3 p.m. EST / 12 p.m. PST.

The panels will be complemented by an on-demand DesignFWD Education video library that includes topic-based content and case studies on everything from cleaning and maintenance and using commercial finishes for branding and personalization, to designing for students with unique needs and streamlining co-operative partnerships. Presenters will include a wide range of stakeholders across the education continuum in role, seniority and type of institution. An all-new virtual 360-degree product walk-through experience will also be debuted at DesignFWD Education.

“We are committed to keep moving education design forward and we are excited to see how we can leverage this new platform to grow deeper connections within our community until we can meet together face-to-face again,” added Dembowitz.

The footprint of the live event will continue beyond Oct. 28 in the form of monthly education segment-focused experiences.
