FCITS expands fall training calendar for flooring professionals to advance expertise and strengthen industry credibility through certification.
Flooring Consultants and Inspection Training Services (FCITS), the industry's leading certifying body for flooring inspectors, has announced an expanded fall training calendar designed to advance professional expertise and strengthen industry credibility. The courses target flooring professionals, including retailers, contractors, and inspectors, seeking certification and enhanced skills.
FCITS addresses longstanding industry challenges with inspections that previously lacked consistency and credibility, often escalating disputes rather than resolving them. The organization's rigorous training programs aim to deliver impartial, reliable results that benefit retailers, mills, and consumers.
"Every inspection should be built on impartiality and expertise, not opinion," said Beth Brown Sorrell, executive director of FCITS. "Our certification programs give flooring professionals the training they need to deliver accurate, trusted results—helping the entire industry reduce disputes and resolve issues fairly."
For the first time, FCITS will participate in the Synergy Convention & Expo in Nashville, joining CFI and FCICA in providing comprehensive education spanning installation, commercial flooring, and inspection. The LVT/LVP Claims and Inspection Class, offered in conjunction with the event, welcomes all flooring professionals—not exclusively inspectors. Installers, retailers, and sales teams can gain valuable insights into inspection criteria for LVP/LVT failures and prevention strategies for costly disputes.
